El Lobo Furioso

FINALLY, El Lobo Furioso: The Best Songs of 2008 is available to the public! Check out Bob’s latest (belated) annual compilation of the best songs you likely missed the first time around! Click on the pic!

Meanwhile, Season 19 is still in full swing what with Bob striving against all odds to rise above assumption and ignorance regarding matters of the heart. This season in particular could best be summed up as a no-holds-barred battle royale, an emotional rollercoaster and a crisis of faith mashed together and marinating in a leaky bucket of jet fuel carelessly placed next to an open flame. Nonetheless, all this rough with a heaping dose of tumble has made for an impressive string of episodes that we HIGHLY encourage you to check out HERE! When you need a break from all the deviance and heartache, browse The Sound Of You & Me to discover our most recent batch of killer in-studio performances from the likes of Tina Dico, The Spares and Among The Oak & Ash (feat. Josh Joplin & Garrison Starr!). And although we couldn’t get OK Go or Jenny Owen Youngs to play for us this time around, they both provided two of the funniest interviews we’ve ever had the joy of recording. Free music! Free gut laughs! Get on it! Bob’s off to Europe for two weeks to recharge his batteries and sharpen his teeth. He’ll come back just before the end of June so we can wrap up Season 19 with a roar! Keep listening! Whether you tune in to laugh (along) at our misfortune or learn from our mistakes (i.e., “noble efforts”), there’s plenty more where that came from.

Season 19: Vote for BFN!

“This time it’s POLITICAL!” -bob

Artwork provided by Meg Linehan

Thanks to an unforgettable presidential race in 2008, Bob & Kyle were inspired to start laying the groundwork for a political campaign a decade in the making. That’s right, we at BFN have decided to dedicate our lives to civic service for a chance to lead this great nation. We’re running for the office of President of the United States of America in 2020!

Season 19 will be a thorough discussion of our platforms and strategies as well as a meticulous chronicle of our uplifting journey to the Oval Office.

Spread the word!
Every. Vote. Counts!

Holiday Break ’08

“Christmas rocks! Denver rocks! Elmo rocks!” -bob

Sesame Stand-Off.

Happy Holidays! Happy New Year!

Season 19 will be arriving mid-January 2009! Meanwhile, Bob is (belatedly) wrapping up the odds and ends of Season 18. This includes the season finale, three stellar interviews with Jeremy Enigk, Harold Crisman and Ashley Brooke Toussant and last but certainly not least a once-in-a-lifetime in-studio session with none other than William Topley!

And before you assume that we’ve been slacking off during the holidays, get ready for a magnificent surprise that we’ve been prepping for this upcoming season. Keep checking back here for the big event!

William Topley Trio! Denver 2008!

Psst . . . 2020!

“It’s meta. It’s all very meta.” -kyle Reaction, a new play by Kyle Ramos, will be making it’s world premiere at Gorilla Tango Theater in Chicago. The show runs December 5th-20th. 8:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, 7:30 p.m. on Sunday. Mr. Ramos will be quite the busy boy these next few weeks, but he’ll still be making his regular appearances on BFN. After all, when it comes to a co-host who can neutralize Bob Dubilina, we accept no substitutes! Congratulations, Kyle. We’re extremely proud of and excited for you!
